Forever From Now
OB: Forever From Now recently had a line up change. Hows it been having Dave in the band?
It was definitely the right move at the right time for us. Dave brings a new dynamic we felt we were lacking. He’s a fantastic musician and a great guy; we definitely feel like a complete unit now.
OB: You guys recently participated in the Orlando’s Next Big thing showcase. How was that experience?
It was great. We were able to play with some talented and diverse bands we hadn’t played with before. Additionally, it was a fantastic opportunity to network, and the feedback we received was invaluable. We hope to be involved next year!
OB: How has your self titled EP been doing for the band?
It was a great place to start as a band. It’s a great promotional tool and was surprisingly cost effective. It gave us a better idea how to make a record, plus it’s also very helpful in putting gas in the “bus” (and by bus we definitely mean van).
OB: Forever From Now has been selected for the newest Xbox’s “Rock Band” game. Tell us which song did they choose?
“People Like You,” Track 4 on the EP, is going to be available for download through the Rock Band Network when it launches later this year.
OB: How did you guys line up such a great opportunity?
We got a tip from a friend of the band who knew the right people and suggested we send in some material. So, as a shot in the dark, we sent off “People Like You” to the publishing company handling the Rock Band Network. Very quickly, we had a reply showing interest and had a contract in a matter of days! We’re super stoked.
OB: Are there any big follow up plans for the release of the game?
World domination…and we’re working on a tour.
OB: What methods have you guys used to build up your fan base in the central Florida area so far?
Playing shows, going to shows, meeting as many people as we can and some intensely shameless self-promotion. For more, check out our MySpace Page at myspace.com/foreverfromnow. …told you we were shameless.
OB: How long can the frogs you buy from Walmart go with out water?
6 seconds. Perhaps, more than that even.
OB: Are there any future plans for recording with the new line up?
Most Def! We’re working on new material at the moment and hope to get back into the studio before the end of the year to record a full length album. It’s coming along very nicely.
If you like a good, old-fashioned CD, you can pick up at Park Ave CD’s or at our shows. It’s also available for download on iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody and just about anywhere else you can buy downloadable albums for you electronically-minded folks.
