Local Happenings – Plaza Theatre

By: Bobber Dobbs

I visited The Plaza Theatre, located at 425 N. Bumby Ave. on Friday, July 13th. They have recently started putting together shows featuring hot local talent.

Being a first timer to the theatre, I must say the structure was impressive. Plenty of room to do some really terrific productions. On this night The Teague Stefan Band http://www.theteaguestefanband.com/ , along with Shak Nasti http://www.shaknasti.com/ were crowned “king of the stage”.  Both bands put on a marvelous performance and all in all the evening was enjoyable. The only complaint of the new venue that I gathered from fellow spectators and myself was in regards to the lighting. To many black outs on stage led to frustrated spectators desperate to see the show. However, the sound was a perfect mix, and warm the ears. You can find more information on The Plaza Theatre by visiting their website at http://www.theplazatheatre.com.
