Rebel Pride

Rebel Pride – All Points In Between
By Xander Rich
Grade: B-
Straightforward country in one glimpse, deep-fried southern rock in another, and floating on the line of alternative at certain points, Pat Buffo sings lead vocals for “ Rebel Pride”, a Tampa-based, 5-man tribute to the simple philosophy of “just turn it up and rock.

“All Points In Between” really goes in a lot of different directions. “Girls Wanna Dance”, the first track on the cd sounds very country, but the very next track almost has a 3 Doors Down kind of feel to it that dips into an alternative feel.

“Touch Our Souls” has an absolutely screaming guitar that has a touch of blues, topped with some Slash and finished with a near infectious drumbeat throughout.

Overall, this album really covers a lot of ground. The name makes you expect a very narrowed sound, but it’s apparent everywhere on this 10-song effort that you’re getting a lot more than just good ol’ boys; you’re getting some diversity. Ed Woltil and Chuck Majewski do a great job with album art, too.
