It’s that time where we start welcoming warmer weather (hey it’s Florida) and a change in pace as well as tempo.
Just in time for Spring we give you the Gritty, Southern rockers ‘Roxy Roca’ mixing the sounds and funk of masters with the style of todays rock radio.

waterloo_poster1_web_compressedThe Austin, TX-based ROXY ROCA is a powerhouse of southern soul with contributing inspirations including James Brown, Joe Tex, Al Green, Chubby Checker, Little Richard and early 70s psychedelic funk rockers like War and Sly and the Family Stone.

This “Dynamite Texas Soul” band was formed in ‘2010’ and quickly planted their roots and together these nine musicians recorded live and straight to tape their debut album “Ain’t Nothin’ Fancy,” which was released on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 for vinyl, CD, and download…

Why did you decide to start this music project?Rhythm and Blues has been a steady friend in this life, she’s always been there for me.
In 1 word how would you describe your  musical style?Dynamite

Does the band have any venues they are looking forward to performing in more than the others?Any venue that gives us a platform is ok by me.  Looking forward to playing with Blues Traveler in Downtown Cocoa Florida for sure

Do you have any new tracks /videos coming out you would like to tell our readers about?We have a new live album out called “Live at the Good Music Club”.  It was recorded in Austin, Texas at The Spiderhouse Ballroom.  We have it available on Cd/DVD combo as well as vinyl
